NIMA’s core activities focus on the following research areas: Experimental Economics, Health Economics, Environmental Economics, Economics of Information, Labor/Education Economics, Microeconometrics and Game Theory. The research areas under NIMA share the same theoretical framework (microeconomic theory), and the same research methods (experimental economics and microeconometrics). Thus, the same theoretical and methodological setup is applied to the examination of specific problems afflicting the health, environmental, educational, and telecommunications sectors of the economy. These research areas are not only at the forefront of economic knowledge, but are also of utmost importance for the design of effective policies to address the main concerns society faces today.
