Brief description

APDP is a patient association created in 1926. It acts through its associates promoting and defending patients duties and rights; it is an outpatient clinic for people with diabetes (providing multidisciplinary and integrated care in different medical specialities and treatments);it's a center for education and research (APDP-ERC) - implementing courses for healthcare providers and people with diabetes (and lay carers), providing residencies for health care providers and participating with universities through collaboration in different courses; the re search center has its focus on epidemiology (prevalence of diabetes and associated conditions); clinical trials; translational research (in the areas of metabolism).
