Short abstract and comments
A lead series of antidiabetic glucosylpolyphenols has been produced. Currently structure-activity relationship studies for target orientation are carried out, together with the investigation of their mechanism(s) of action and the evaluation of compound antiamyloidogenic activity.
Potential uses/indications
Antidiabetic treatment and prevention of Alzheimer’s disease in diabetic patients, who have a higher risk of later developing Alzheimer’s
