Short abstract and comments
A lead series of nucleosides has been produced and their anticancer activity has been evaluated. Selectivity towards acetyl- or butyrylcholinesterase inhibition could be tuned by their structural features, easily established by synthesis. Structure optimization and mechanisms of action are currently under evaluation.
Potential uses/indications
Depending on nucleoside structural features, the compounds may be of use for Alzheimer’s disease patients or for cancer patients
