Short abstract and comments

The TecPrevInf project focuses on the prevention of infections in patients with Peripheral Venous Catheters (PVCs) through the development of activities aimed at the transfer of innovative technologies into nursing practices, the acquisition of skills, and the improvement of the scientific knowledge in this area.

Potential uses/indications

This value proposition combines innovative experiences related to the medical devices associated with the prevention of PVC-related complications, namely healthcare-associated infections, which represents one of the major health challenges worldwide. This proposal will, on the one hand, contribute to the development of healthcare professionals skills related to the use of innovative technologies in clinical settings, reducing the number of infections, and, on the other hand, enable research on and development of new knowledge that combines practical knowledge with the scientific evidence already systematized.
