Short abstract and comments
The project intends to identify which determinants (as candidate drug targets) cause the cross-talk impairment between neurons and microglia, in order to intervene in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) onset and progression.
Potential uses/indications
Better knowledge on the pathophysiology of AD, in particular microglia as contributors in the disease onset and progression, in order to find out determinants and targets that can be used for the development of new medicines to AD. In addition, it is expected to further identify determinants and biomarkers of vulnerabilities by ageing.
